Bahariterra's McBanda starts McNature Controversy
The McNature controversy in Bahariterra started on October 20th, 2021 when McBanda, a ripoff of McDonald's, decided to create a sort of Happy Meal that sold endangered species of palm trees instead of toys. The species in question? Chamaedorea Bahariterra! The national tree of the island nation and also a highly endangered species which wasn't discovered until late 2020! They promised to only sell it to locals who could show an ID card to prove they were in Bahariterra. They stated that the goal was to help the species spread across the islands and gain popularity so people could breed them. Wide-scale production of this palm tree species could save it from going extinct according to McBanda. Many locals do not like the idea saying it could be smuggled it to foreign countries and sold on the black web or that it could be planted in the wrong place or it could fall into the wrong hands.
